Fondazione per la Ricerca Farmacologica “Gianni Benzi Onlus”

The Gianni Benzi Pharmacological Research Foundation is a registered “not-for-profit” Scientific Research Organisation. Its mission is to contribute to the advancement of pharmacological research in the fields of innovative drugs in sectors of social interest with particular reference to orphan and paediatric sectors. Its field of action is focused on regulatory issues, ethics, rare diseases and orphan drugs (management of EU-ORPHAN initiative, a database of  designated and approved orphan drugs in Europe and the US complemented by a library of the existing scientific publication on the approved drugs for rare diseases).

Main tasks in the project

FGB is mainly involved in the management of regulatory and ethical Issues acting as WP6 leader and being involved in WP1, WP3, WP4 and WP5 tasks, dealing with study protocols and ethical issues. Moreover, FGB is responsible for market evaluation, development of a budget impact model and performance of pharmacoeconomic evaluation.
